3 Healthy Thanksgiving Recipes
Thanksgiving is around the corner and eating healthy can be a tricky feat! Try these 3 healthy recipes and share with your family this holiday season!
1. Pumpkin Mash and Ricotta
Ingredients:
One can of pureed pumpkin
1 cup of fresh ricotta cheese
2 eggs
1 tablespoon of crushed garlic
1 teaspoon of sage
1 teaspoon of thyme
1 teaspoon of rosemary
½ cup fresh grated Parmesan cheese
Directions:
Combine pumpkin, ricotta and eggs in a bowl. Mix well and set aside. In another bowl, mix in garlic, sage, thyme, and rosemary. Then mix into pumpkin mixture and place all in a cooking dish. Sprinkle the top with Parmesan cheese and bake at 350 degrees for 30-45 minutes.
2. Brussel Sprouts with Truffle Mushrooms
Ingredients:
Small package of sliced brussel sprouts
Small package of sliced mushrooms
1 tablespoon fresh garlic
Truffle Oil
Directions:
Place sliced brussels, sliced mushrooms and garlic in large bowl. Mix together and drizzle truffle oil to taste. Place all ingredients in a baking dish and bake at 350 degrees for 30-45 minutes.
3. Maple Apple Crisp
Ingredients:
4 large apples sliced and chopped
1 tablespoon of cinnamon
Fresh maple syrup
Olive Oil
Directions:
Place sliced and chopped apples in a bowl. Sprinkle cinnamon over the apples and drizzle with maple syrup to taste. In a baking dish, glaze with olive oil and place apple mixture in dish. Bake at 375 degrees for 30-35 minutes or until apples are tender.
