3 Healthy Halloween Treats

Instead of getting a sugar high on candy and chocolate this Halloween, try these 3 tasty and healthy treats instead!



Baked Apples - This dish is quite simple but oh so yummy. Slice up 4 apples into bite sized pieces. Place in a baking dish and drizzle with an olive oil based butter. Next sprinkle on a tablespoon of cinnamon. Then stir in half a cup of pure maple syrup. Make sure to equally cover all pieces. Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes until the apples are soft and bubbling. Serve warm in a bowl!

Candied Nuts. This dish is also simple and a party favorite. In a large saucepan on high heat, place a half cup of olive oil. Then mix in assorted nuts. Next mix in z half cup of maple syrup and stir continuously until the syrup starts to harden and liquid is burned off. Let the nuts cool over a baking tray. Serve warm in a dish!

Pumpkin Pudding - This is a great dessert for the holidays and a fall favorite. In a large bowl mix puréed pumpkin , a half cup of pure maple syrup, and a teaspoon of cinnamon. Mix well. Then in another bowl whip pure whipping cream and add a half teaspoon of pure vanilla extract. Then fold in the whipped cream into the pumpkin mixture until the mix is light and fluffy. Chill and serve cool in a bowl.
