Spring is Almost Here! Try These Outdoor Exercises

Spring is just around the corner and we all cannot wait to get outside and enjoy warmer temps. Spring is also a great time to dust off those sneakers, get outside and exercise! Try these three exercises outdoors today!



  1. Bench Step Ups: This exercise will get the buns stronger and improve leg strength as well. To complete this exercise, start by placing one foot on a bench. Make sure the heel is planted firmly. Next, step up by squeezing the buttocks and extending through the hip. Step up onto the bench and then step back down with the same foot. Repeat about 20 times on each leg.

  2. Bench Push Ups: This exercise will target the chest and tricep area of the arm. Start by placing your hands on the bench and putting your body in a plank position. Keep your hands about chest width apart. Then bend your elbow as you squeeze your shoulder blades together. Bring your body down to the level of your elbows, and then return to the starting position. Repeat this movement about 20 times.

  3. Bench Incline Planks: This exercise will target the core but will also work the gluts, back and arms. It's a great total body exercise! To complete this exercise, start by placing your elbows and forearms on the bench. Place your body in a plank position, keeping your back neutral. Then tighten and squeeze the abs and buttocks. Hold this position for 30 seconds and repeat three times.
