Summertime is filled with pool parties, BBQs, and outdoor festivities. It can be tempting to blow your diet while attending these events. So try these three tips to stay on track.
Drink lots of water. Staying hydrated is important while partying outside. But drinking water can also help prevent over indulging in boozy drinks. And keeping the belly full of water can also prevent over eating. So keep that water bottle filled!
Snack on veggies. Instead of grabbing a handful of chips, try snacking on raw veggies like carrots, broccoli, celery or tomatoes. If that's a little to bland, try dipping those veggies in hummus or natural peanut butter. Snacking like this will keep you healthy and prevent over eating junk food.
Dessert with fruit. Fruit can be a tasty dessert alternative. Not to mention it can be refreshing and hydrating. So instead of cookies and cake, try fresh strawberries, watermelon or grapes! And for an added treat, place them in the freezer. Once frozen, through them in a blender with your favorite almond milk for a refreshing and healthy shake.
